Our Focus
We have three key areas that we focus on to ensure we help our members to compete, succeed and grow together: clients, team and the practice
Client focus
Our aim is to support and help you to serve your clients more effectively and to grow and maintain sustainable businesses.
At the heart of CharterGroup membership is technical quality. We offer technical and quality support including efficiency reviews, cold file reviews, access to specialist knowledge and experts and guidance and products to assist in the completion of a range of client assignments.
CharterGroup offers marketing support including access to a tracker database with information on all companies and many non-limited businesses in the UK.
We are seeking to provide members with support to onboard new clients by carrying out anti-money laundering checks.
While our members are primarily based in the UK, many clients are increasingly involved in the international marketplace and we understand the need to provide our clients with reliable international business advice. Our long standing association with EAI International means that CharterGroup members can offer worldwide support to their clients.
Team focus
Our aim is to support and help you with internal team relationships and development.
We want to support you in the development of your team. Your people are the key to you growing and succeeding and we can bring our expertise to help with this through leadership and management development programs, HR support and advice, review of performance and appraisal systems.
Recruitment is an ongoing challenge for all firms and with over 30 years of experience in recruitment we are able to offer advice and support for succession planning, senior appointments, apprenticeships, graduate recruitment and secondments.
We can also bring our experience and expertise to help you structure meetings more professionally and to get the best from the meeting participants. We can attend and provide support at your events, including internal team events and chairing client and partner meetings.
Practice focus
Our aim is to help members to improve the performance of their practice and to support managing partners to continue to grow and develop the practice as a whole.
This extends to innovation and the use of technology within your practice. Our industry is ever-changing, and technology is having an impact and will alter the way we will deal with clients and the services we offer, including digital tax, cloud accounting and digital innovation.
We recognise it is sometimes challenging being a leader and often managing partners shoulder the burden and the pressures of growing and developing the practice on their own. We can offer confidential mentoring, or provide a sounding board as a critical friend, free from internal politics and self-interest.
We want to support member firms with dealing with compliance obligations, so firms are up to date in this constantly changing marketplace.
Inter-firm comparison is an invaluable resource, to help you benchmark and compare your performance and profitability against other firms and to ensure the highest quality of advice is provided.
For firms to grow and develop in this challenging and ever-changing marketplace they need a strategic plan. With our experience at managing large national firms we can offer help and expertise with strategic planning and hosting strategy days.
We are able to provide our members with strategic HR support to help align your people to support your business aims.
